MOOSE AT THE MONMOUTH COUNTY NJ SHOW

BEST IN SHOW MISCELLANEOUS

“We welcomed BoBev’s Lovable Luxor into our family on May, 18, 2007.  He was one of the Fabulous Fifteen, born to Fizzifina.  There were so many puppies in that litter that Fizzi needed help feeding all of them.  Our family spent one magical day with Bob and Bev when the litter was just 3 weeks old, bottle feeding, asking questions and visiting.  It was amazing to watch Bev’s dogs come together to watch over this amazing litter, and it was a pleasure to be a part of the round-the-clock feeding effort.

Bev and Bob are not just “the breeders” or “the people from whom we got our dog.”  They have been mentors and have become very good friends.

Her love for the dogs shows in everything that she does, and their love for her is clear, too.  Whenever Lux sees Bev again he joyfully greets her with lots of Leo licks.”

LUXOR IN A SERIOUS MOMENT

NAZDAQ AT SEVENTEEN MONTHS

“In finding Bev Travis, I came to learn  the difference between a breeder who embraces a healthy perpetuation of the breed and a breeder who embraces a perpetuation of a business.  Bev Travis lives and loves for her dogs.  From the first conversation her devotion to the health and welfare of her clan and their offspring are evident.

Bev didn’t say good-bye when I left with Nasdaq in my arms. She has remained a committed resource, educator and friend.  I know I’ll be back for more.

I know you're the only breeder that's right for me and for any future pups”

NELSA, TDI , SERVICE DOG -  AT AGE 1-1/2

“There is just a special something with Nelsa… received her TDI as she turned 1 year old… also a Service Dog.

Nelsa has been to Nursing Homes, Hospitals and Daycares for children with her therapy work. The kids just love her… she also gets a lot of attention from staff and patients.

Nelsa has become a celebrity. Everyone knows her. There was one woman who was there with her teenage son who had been in a car accident. The boy was paralyzed and has some brain damage. She asked if I would mind taking Nelsa to see him. The boy was able to move his one hand to pet the top of her head. The boy smiled. The mother said that it was the first time he had smiled since his accident.”

JAZZ (AMADEUS) FROM OUR FIRST LITTER ON HIS 12TH BIRTHDAY  5-9-2009

“Over the years he has patiently listened to us whenever we complained, were angry, had a bad day,or were  frightened and then he has comforted us by putting his big head under our arms for a hug. He still greets us by bringing us a toy and then playing keep-away when we try to take it. He may have trouble seeing, hearing ,and walking now, but he is still that huge bundle of love we brought home 12 years ago.”

“Jazz came home with us in July 1997, a cute, fuzzy, and very large ball of fur. Since then our lives were forever changed.

Curious, playful, adventurous, loving, and intelligent are words that describe him, but only knowing and loving him can give you the full story.

He learned our body language so that he would anticipate our every move and was there before we were.

He was always a gentle giant. Even my 4 year old niece would lead him around by the leash and he would follow her without complaint wherever she wanted to go.

His greatest pleasure is just to be with us, even to the point of laying in front of the bathroom door and not moving so that we can't get out."

MOCHA  - ONE OF THREE RARE BLACK & TAN LEOS FROM OUR “L“ LITTER

“Mocha is the true ‘belle of the ball’. She is kind, sweet, loving, calm and friend to all… has a happiness and kindness to her that is obvious to all that meet her.

She loves all animals and people alike, and is quite sure that we were all put on this planet to be part of HER day.

She talks all of the time… is quite the imp, and loves to play with her neighborhood dog friends… loves tennis balls, and loves to play soccer with me.

She is calm kind and gentle to those who are infirm, elderly or in need of special attention and is the perfect therapy dog.  I couldn't ask for a more wonderful dog.”

REUNION FOR THE 7 MONTH OLD R & S LITTER PUPPIES

The R & S Litters were born two days apart in December of 2009.

The reunion was held during the summer of 2010.

Nine puppies & six adult Leos attended with their families and friends. Everyone had a wonderful time swimming and racing around.

GATHERING - FALL 2010 WITH BOBEV’S  LEO OWNERS

A pot luck gathering of 35 Leonbergers was held in the Fall of 2010 at the home of friends who own an R litter pup named Rutger.

Many ages were represented from small pups to seniors. It was great fun for the Leos, romping and playing on and around the beautiful grounds.

Homemade food and  hand baked dog treats were enjoyed by all.

Shown here are a variety of Leos, all from BoBev, along with their owners.

BOBEV’S LEONBERGER VIDEOS

“I wish we had room for one more - I think there's room in the house but probably not on the bed!

What a phenomenal job you do raising your puppies... it's evident everyday when we watch our boys interacting with families and other dogs, they are so happy, friendly, confident, and intuitive.  Whenever people comment on their wonderful nature I always give credit to the quality of their first 10 weeks of life, you are such an exceptional breeder!”

At just over two years old Rutger gets his first AKC major as Best of Winners, looking phenomenal in the show ring.

With his gorgeous top line, excellent angles, smooth movement, amazing head and neck we expect more wonderful things from this BoBev pup.

An extremely versatile Leonberger, Rutger happily goes from therapy visits to the show ring to the rally ring.  His steady temperament and calming presence make for an excellent therapy dog, and he is well loved at every venue we visit.

“Not a day goes by that we aren’t thankful for this amazing Leo and for being a member of the BoBev family!”

“Another win for Moose!

Therapy work at the Hospital of Joint Diseases and with Children cancer Survivor Day at New York Presbyterian.

Moose brings smiles so easily to all the patients and staff he meets, it’s an incredible gift he has.

I feel so lucky to be able to share him with so many people in need of a Moose hug.

Of course it couldn’t have happened without you & Bob.

Thank you again for all you do.

Love to all”

RUTGER  - WINNING HIS FIRST AKC MAJOR

“It was an exciting day for CH Bobev’s Spartacus when, at age 3, he won Best of Breed at the Delaware County Kennel Club Show. What made it extra special was that he competed against the AKC’s number one ranked Leo.

Spart’s first big win was at the 2011 LCA National where at 17 months of age he was picked Winners Dog.  Spart earned the title of Champion in September 2012 and is well on his way to the title of Grand Champion.

Even with all  the luck he has had in the show ring, make no mistake about it, Spart is not a “Show dog”.  He is a great Bobev family Leo that just happens to show.  Spart shines brightest when he’s in a crowd of people and his real claim to fame is that he can make people smile.”

SPARTACUS  - BEST OF BREED - DELAWARE COUNTY KENNEL CLUB

WILLOW  - BEST OF OPPOSITE - TRIPLE CROWN

“I fell for Willow when she was 3 weeks old and when I visited again at 7 weeks that was it, I was in love.  When they did the puppy temperament testing, they said that she would be a couch potato that just needed to be loved, she was too shy to do anything.  I was devastated!  Bev told me that pups have off days just like people and if she was the one I wanted, then that is the puppy I should pick.  I think about that day every time we accomplish a new goal.

Willow is also training for her Rally and Companion Dog titles. Please don’t think of Willow as a foo - foo dog, who only trains for titles.  She loves to romp thru the fields, tease her brother, play in puddles and dig in the dirt, and best of all she is a huge cuddle bug.  Everyday she makes me smile and I know I’m owned and loved by her.  Thank you Bev & Bob for making me a part of the Bobev family, not once , but twice!”

VIKAHN WAS ONE OF THE TDI THERAPY DOGS WHO WAS RECOGNIZED FOR HIS CONTINUING SUPPORT FOR THE CHILDREN AND FAMILIES OF SANDY HOOK, CONNECTICUT.

“Our Leos have taught us many lessons, some more painful but most pure joy.  We've experienced years of canine search and rescue, conformation shows and more recently the rewarding world of canine therapy.

Selecting a breeder is not a one size fits all, but should be a perfect fit for both parties. Father and son, Vikahn and Yulee are Bobev Leos and they are part of our family because we believed in Bev and she returned that faith by trusting us with her babies' lives. It was uncanny how often we agreed on topics of health care, socialization, feeding, training and living.

We are a perfect fit and even though we occasionally agree to disagree on certain canine topics, we respect each other's opinions and only want what's best for our pups because they're what we love and live for.”

BLACKSTRAP (AA LITTER) & TRAPPER JACK (S LITTER)

Potamus is in the Reading Therapy Program at a Primary School.

The kids came over to read to him in groups of four. The kids loved the huge teddy bear. Most of the kids had never seen a dog that big.

Potamus was patient, engaging and extremely gentle with all the kids. Those  were up to reading, petted him as they read.

At the end they all piled around him along with the teachers and aids to take a group photograph for the parents.

One little boy was crying as he did not want to read. He came up later and petted Potamus as he read. He read like a champ! All great stuff.

I am now looking into Hospital work for him. He absolutely loves it.
